🎧 A New Flight Just Landed

Denver’s Little Italy: Preserving North Denver’s Italian History

Denver once had a thriving Little Italy right here in North Denver. Italian-owned bakeries, markets, restaurants, social clubs and churches helped shape the neighborhood, and there’s now an effort underway to make sure that history isn’t forgotten.

For this episode, I sat down with Jenna Peccia, Social Media Chair for the Little Italy Historic District, to talk about the proposed thematic historic district, the families and businesses that built Denver’s Italian community, and why preserving those stories matters.

And I think this is a pretty fitting first episode for Put Some Altitude in Your Glass.

This new chapter gives us room to go beyond what's in the wine glass and talk about the people, places, food, music and travel that make life a little more interesting.

Wine | Music | Travel. And sometimes, a little Northside history.
